「バルマカーンコートBalmacaan Coat」とは、襟腰の後方が高く、前方に向かって低い状態で折り返る襟が特徴のコートだ。略称として「バルマカーン」「バルマカーンコート」と呼ばれることもある。

アウトドアデザインのしっかりとした、テフロンファブリックロテクター加工を施した「防風・防水・防汚」バルマカーンコートです。フロントにポケットの配置など、機能面で使いやすいディテールです。総裏仕立ての厚過ぎず薄過ぎずの素材感で、秋冬シーズンにはぴったりです。前立てボタンを全て閉じると、第一ボタン以外のボタンは露出しない仕様の比翼仕立てになっている。ボタンが隠れることで、ミニマルで品のある印象がワンポイント。ゆとりのあるシルエットで長めの着丈ながら着用感は軽く、見た目にもハリ感を抑えているため、ほど良くドレープを楽しめるアウターです。

表側の素材にはテフロンファブリックロテクター加工を施しているので、水を弾き、小雨程度ならレインウェア不要。汚れにも強いので、泥や砂も気にせず着られます。外側からの風は通さず、ジャケット内の湿気は外に逃がすので暖かいのに蒸れにくいです。
